Enisha Brewster shares her experience as an actor in Hollywood and how she created her own artistic lane by transforming a traumatic interpersonal relationship into the inspiration for a short film. The lecture will touch on mental health, suicide awareness & prevention, contemporary and historical art, and activating one’s own creative engine through the 7-Step acronym I. M.A.T.T.E.R.
The lecture ends with a screening of the 10 minute short film, CLING followed by Q&A.

Screenwriting Workshop (10-50 participants) - 120 Minutes - In-Person
Participants use a scripted scene from the short film CLING to identify technical and creative elements of a scene for a screenplay. (Alternative: Participants use a scene from a play to identify the technical and creative elements.)
With guided exploration and coaching from Enisha Brewster and a participating writing professional, participants write--and have the option to share--their own scene for screen or stage.
